Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

WebToolsz (webtoolsz.com) is a free online tools platform. This policy explains what data we collect, what we do with it, and how our tools are designed to keep your files private. If you have a specific question that isn't answered here, reach out directly — contact details are at the bottom.

The short version: your files never leave your browser. We built the tools this way deliberately, so we genuinely have no access to the documents, images, or videos you work with.

2. What We Collect (and What We Don't)

Your files: nothing. Every file-processing tool on WebToolsz — PDF conversion, video compression, image resizing, JSON formatting, and everything else — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Files are processed in your device's memory and never transmitted to any server. We have no technical means to access them, even if we wanted to.

Anonymous usage data: We collect basic, anonymised statistics to understand how the site is used. This includes things like:

This is aggregate data — it can't be used to identify you individually.

Account information: If you create an account (optional), we store:

No account is needed to use T1 (always-free) tools. Guest users share no personal information with us.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to support the functioning of our Service and to understand how users interact with our tools. We use a Cookie Consent Banner on first visit — you can choose to accept or decline optional cookies.

3a. Cookie Categories

3b. Cookie Consent & Your Rights

On your first visit, a consent banner is displayed at the bottom of the page. You may:

Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key wtz_cookie_consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data for webtoolsz.com, which will show the banner again on your next visit.

You can also configure your browser to refuse all cookies. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent login from working.

4. How We Use the Data We Collect

The data we collect is used to:

We don't sell your data, share it with marketing partners, or use it for anything beyond what's listed above.

4a. Payment Data

When you submit a payment request for a paid subscription, we store the following in our database:

We do not store any UPI transaction IDs, bank account details, or payment card information. Payments are made directly via your UPI app to our UPI address — we never handle or see your banking credentials.

4b. Email Communications

If you create an account, we may send the following transactional emails to your registered address:

We do not send marketing newsletters, promotional emails, or any other non-transactional communications. You will only receive emails directly triggered by your own account actions or actions of users you referred.

Emails are sent via Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) SMTP relay. Brevo may process your email address in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

4c. Referral Program Data

When you share your referral link and another user registers through it, we record:

This data is used solely to calculate and award referral bonuses. We do not share referral data with third parties. The referred user is not made aware of who referred them beyond the fact that they used a referral link.

5. Security

Because files are processed locally and we don't store personal data, the privacy risk of using WebToolsz is substantially lower than services that upload your content to the cloud. The anonymous analytics data we do collect is handled by Google's infrastructure, which has its own security certifications and data practices.

6. Third-Party Services We Use

7. External Links

Some pages link to external websites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their privacy practices. Check their privacy policies directly.

8. Children

WebToolsz is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has submitted personal data through this site, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

For data held by Google (Analytics, AdSense, OAuth), manage it through your Google Account settings.

Guest users (no account) have no personal data stored with us — there is nothing to access, correct, or delete.

10. Updates to This Policy

If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For major changes that affect your rights, we'll make that clear on the site. We don't send policy update emails — bookmark this page if you want to stay current.
